I have tried restarting the system and updating all the audio drivers. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing the crackling and is there anyway to fix it or does it mean the speakers are dying? Thank … WebThe speakers (especially on the right as you look at the laptop), are very quiet compared with when I first got it, and pop/crackle constantly. It sounds like when headphones aren't plugged in to a device properly. This only happens when using the laptop speakers - through external speakers/headphones, the sound is fine.
