WebJun 24, 2024 · If you feel confident that the shaft is straight, then look at the strut. If it is bent, you'll likely be able to see it (with the given description of vibration you describe). If that looks OK, take the prop to a local prop shop and get them to look. Most of the time, they will heat and straighten back to a particular mold they have. To my eye, it looks like that one ear has a BFH mark on it from either an attempt to remove a frozen joint or an attempt to straighten a bent ear. It also appears the the slinger is bent as well. Then you can turn it over and repeat if possible. It’s important to make sure that you have some way to support the unit. A large cinder block will work.
